RESHLUTION NO. 5047 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Sinsgrs, <br /> Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Graber <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Safety <br />to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of motor vehicle <br />equipment for the Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public SafetM be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract or'contracts for the purchase <br />of seven (7) Police Department vehicles and for the sale or trade-in of Police <br />Department vehicles, with the lowest and best bidders after advertisement <br />according te law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the-affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force inrmediatety upon i~a~option and~pp~oval by the <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />Adopted:~~~/~Z~~-- <br /> President <br /> <br /> <br />
