RESOLUTION NO. 5093 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. McBride, Sinagra, Usher, <br />Brockman, Chinnock, Graber, Msgnotto <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to cormnend Captain John G. Heiser for his forty- <br />five years of devoted public service to the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, John G. Heiser formerly worked in the Division of Parks <br />of the City of Lakewood during 1930 and 1931 and was appointed to the <br />Division of Fire on March 11, 1931, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, he was appointed to the position of Mechanic-Electrician <br />on May 15~ 1~948, on the basis of his mechanical and electrical ability <br />which position he served until November 12, 1951, when he was promoted to <br />the rank of Captain, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, his ready acceptance of responsibility and his pro- <br />motion in the Department are evidence of his leadership ability, devotion <br />to duty, and desire to render outstanding service, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his forty-five years of service he has won the <br />respect and affection of his colleagues in the Division of Fire through <br />his natural leadership abilities, his thorough knowledge of all fire <br />fighting techniques, his intelligence~ fairness, and natural teaching <br />ability: and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, he has earned the admiration and gratitude of all Lake- <br />wood residents, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such dedication to duty and years of public service <br />should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now~ therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends to Captain John G. <br />Heiser its appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for <br />his forty-five years of public service as a member of the Division of Fire~ <br />and further that this Council wishes him continued years of service, health <br />and prosperity. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this ~e. solution to Captain John G. <br />Heiser and that a copy of this Resolution be spread,pon the min~s~of this <br />meeting.
