RESOLUTION NO. 5064 <br /> <br />BY:Messrs. MagnOttO, McBride, Sinagra, <br /> Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Graber <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION extending congratulations to Father Robert J. Jenkins <br />who will celebrate the 25th anniversary of his ordination to the Priesthood~ <br />on April 29, 1975. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Father Robert Jo Jenkins was graduated from the Sacred <br />Heart Seminary, Detroit, Michigan and subsequently ordained into the Priesthood <br />from St. Mary's Seminary in Cleveland, Ohio in 1950, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Father Jenkins was appointed to St. Luke's Church in Lakewood, <br />Ohio in 1968 to serve as Associate Pastor and was elevated to the position of <br />Pastor in 1972, ~ which capacity he continues to serve, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Father Jenkins is active in the Cleveland Senate of Priests <br /> and servsd that organization as Vice President from 1968 to 1971 and as its <br /> President from 1971 to 1973, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council wishes to join with his many parishioners and <br /> friends in congratulating Father Jenkins on the noteworthy occasion of his Silver <br /> Jubilee to be celebrated on April 29, 1975; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Father Robert J. Jenkins its <br /> congratulations and that of all of the citizens of this community on the 25th <br /> anniversary of his ordination to the Priesthood and wishes him continued years <br /> of service to his Church. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
