RESOLUTION NO. 5092 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs, McBride, Usher, Brockman, <br /> Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to advertise for bids for the purchase of battery-driven <br />hydraulic scaffolding for maintenance work at the new Winterhurst Ice <br />Rink and to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder after <br />advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the original cost estimates anticipated the purchase <br />of this equipment although it was not included in anylof the contracts <br />awarded thus far, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment is necessary for proper maintenance of <br />the lights and ballasts at the Winterhurst Ice rink, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, plans and specifications for battery-driven hydraulic <br />scaffolding are on file in the office of the Director of Public Works, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure provid- <br /> ing for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the <br /> immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, now <br /> therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is <br /> hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the purchase of battery-driven <br /> hydraulic scaffolding for use at the newWinterhurst Ice Rink in accordance <br /> with plans on file in the office of the Director of Public Works. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the advertisement for said bids shall provide <br /> for and require that bids for the purchase of battery-driven hydraulic <br /> sca'ffolding shall be in accordance with said plans and specifications. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is <br /> hereby authorized to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder <br /> after advertisement according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> ~mergengy measure for the reasons stated i! the pr~.~mble hereof and provided <br /> it receives the affirmative vote of two-th~rds ~.~ll~members e ~c~e~d ~o <br /> CounCil, it shall be deemed to be in effect up~fn its adoPtion ~ !~pf~val <br /> by theMayor. /_'.~! ,l/t ~ <br /> ~j ....
