RESOLUTION NO. 51Ol <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. McBride, Sinagra, Usher, <br /> Brockman, Chinnock, Graber, Magnotto <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of <br />Public Works to enter into a contract for the purchase of approximately three <br />thousand tons (3,000) of rock salt for the period commencing November l, 1975 <br />and ending March 31, 1976. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety for vehicular and pedestrian <br />traffic during the winter months, it is necessary to purchase salt, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the usual daily operation of a municipal department and for the immediate <br />preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVE'D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract for the purchase of £hree <br />thousand (3,000) tons of rock salt for the period commencing November 1, 1975 <br />and ending March 31, 1976 with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
