RESOLUTION NO. 5104 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Magnotto, McBride, Sinagra, <br /> Broekman, Chinnock,Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works <br />to enter into a contract for the purchase of one automotive fire apparatus <br />equipped with a fire pump and complete with chassis, cab, canopy, body, ladders <br />appliances and other appurtenances as specified for the Fire Department in <br />the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Department is desirous of replacing their present <br />pumper which has been in service since 1947, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that <br />it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase <br /> of one automotive fire apparatus equipped with a fire pump and complete with <br /> chassis, cab, canopy, body, ladders, appliances and other appurtenances as <br /> specified, and for the trade-in of their used 1947 American LaFrance 750 GPM <br /> pumper, with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement <br /> according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This Resolution is hereby ~eclared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons sta%ed in the preamble hereof and provided i~ receives <br /> the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br /> take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the <br /> Mayor. <br /> <br /> Approved: ~. <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
