RESOLUTION NO. 5109 BY: Messrs. Graber, Magnotto, Sinagra, Usb~, Brockman A RESOLOTION to commend the St. Edward High School Eagles football team for its outstanding athletic achievement during the 1975 Eootball season. WHEREAS, the St. Edward High School Eagles football team, for the first, time in its history, completed its regular season schedule undefeated and untied, and was the undisputed champion of the Crown Conference, and WHEREAS, the Eagles of St. Edwards, more popularly kno~m as "The Big Green Machine", were not only the ,top rated Eootball team in the Greater Cleveland area and the Northeastern Ohio district, but were aclaimed as the Number 1 AAA class Eootball team in the State of Ohio by both wire service polls, and scored the highest computer point total ever achieved by an Ohio high school football team, and WHEREAS, the St. Edward Eagles were the first team ever from the Greater Cleveland area to compete in the Class AAA State High School Champion- ship Football Game, and WHEREAS, by these outstanding accomplishments, the St. Edward High School football team has brought due recognition and honor not inly to themselves but to the entire Lakewood community, which accomplishments should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, BE IT'RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STAT~ OF OHIO: Section Io That Lakewood Ci~_Qgungil extends its 9ongratulations and commends the St. Edward High School Eagles football team for its outstanding athletic achievement during the 1975 hig~ School football season. Section 2. That the Clerk of~dncil be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the St. Edward High School football team, in care of Mr. Michael Currence, head football coach, St. Edward High School, 13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio, 44107, and that a ~opy of this Resolution be spread upon th ,S of this m~eti Acting Mayor
