RESOLUTION NO. 5114 BY: Messrs. Chinnock, Graber, MagnOtto, McBride, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of PublicWorks to employ by contract, the firm of Watermation, Inc. as consulting engineers for the purpose of preparing all necessary steps required' for the preparation of a Step 1 Facilities Planning Grant. WHEREAS, in order to obtain a Step 1 Facilities Planning Grant i~t is necessary as part of the application to have a consulting engineer under contract, and, WHEREAS, the firm of Watermation, Inc. has already prepared a sewer study which will become a part of the facilities plan, 'and, WHEREAS, they are most familiar with the sewer system of the City of Lakewood, and, WHEREAS, they are familiar with all steps to be taken by the City of Lakewood in the preparation of the Step 1 G_rant application, and, WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing for the usual daily operations of a municipal departmen~ in that it is in the interest of the public service, welfare and safety it is necessary to apply for a Step 1 Facilities Planning Grant; now, therefore, OHIO: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to employ by contract, the firm of Watermation, Inc., 1404 East 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio, as consulting engineers for the purpose of preparing all necessary steps required for the preparation of a Step 1 Facilities Planning Grant application. Section 2. Tha-t this Resolution is hereby declar.ed to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, i~ shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval~×~_~by the Mayor. ~~Pr~ Adop ted ~/~~-~//-~/~ ?~'~ Cler~ // Mayor
