RESOLUTION NO. 5142 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride~ Salmon~ Sinagra, Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION designating Robert M. Lawther, Mayor, on behalf of <br />of the City of Lakewood, to execute the necessary documents for the purpose of <br />obtaining Federal and/hr State financial assistance for the repair of the <br />L~kewood Park Breakwall. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ an emergency exists relative to the aforementioned breakwall at <br />Lakewood Park, and that the City of Lakewood is in need of financial aid for <br />emergency repairs, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an immediate grant application should be prepared and submitted <br /> to the appropriate Fedieral and/or State Agency for financial assistance, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution is necessary for the irmaediate preservation of <br /> the 40-acre Lakewood ~ark, and its recreational facilities; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1o That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood, a public entity established <br /> under the laws of the~State of Ohio, a grant application for the purpose of <br /> obtaining Federal and/or State financial assistance, and ~ubmitting it to the <br /> appropriate Federal amd/or State Agency. <br /> <br /> Section 2, 'That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons-stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br /> the affirmative vote of two thirds of all members elected to City Council, it <br /> shall take effect and~be in force immediately upon its approval and approval <br /> by the Mayor. /~/ ~ <br /> <br /> cle¢ <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
