McBride, Sslmon, Sinagra, <br /> Usher, Brockman, Msgnotto <br /> <br /> AN BMERGE~qCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director <br />of Public Works to advertise for bids and enter into a contract after <br />approval by Council for the construction of 8-inch water main in the <br />follow/ng streets: <br /> <br /> Belle Avenue, approximately 60', East side~ under N & W <br /> <br /> Marlowe Avenue, approximately 310', from 225' to 535' South <br /> of Detrolt. <br /> <br />Franklin Blvd, approximately 360', from G~ace Avenue to <br />Clarence Avenue. <br /> <br />Clarence Avenue, approximately 1500', from Detroit Avenue <br />to Franklin Blvd. <br /> <br />together with connections and necessary appurtenances. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has determined to prOceed with the improve- <br />ment set forth in the title hareof by contract, and, <br /> <br /> WHEP. F~AS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure pro- <br />viding for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE~OOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids and enter into a contract, after approval <br />by Council, for the construction of appro~cimately 60' of 8-inch water main <br />in Belle Avenue, on the east side under the N & W Railroad tracks,and <br />approximately 310' of 8-inch water main in Marlowe Avenue, from 225' to 535' <br />south of Detroit Avenue,and approximately 360' of 8-inch water main in <br />Pranklin Blvd. from (~race Avenue to Clarence Avenue, and approximately 1500' <br />of 8-inch water main in Clarence Avenue from Detroit Avenue to Franklin Blvd. <br />together with connections and necessary appurtenances, in accordance with <br />plans prepared therefore in the office of the Director of Public Works, <br />with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and <br />only after approval of such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 9_. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br /> it shall take effect and be in force immediately upo~ its adoption and approval <br /> <br /> Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
