RESOLUTION NO. 5156~ BY: Messrs, Brockman, Msgnotto, McBride, Sinagre, Usher AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept such grant and enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners covering such grant for the period of May 1, 1976 through September 30, 1976, pro- viding partial funding for the Nutrition Program in this City under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act. WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners is adminis- trating a program of grants from the Federal Government, under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this City may obtain monies to provide Nutrition services for persons 60 years of age or older. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need of financial assistance in order to maintain the present Nutrition Program for Senior Citizens, and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure pro- viding for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that these funds can be ob- tained at the present time; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CI%~ OF LAKEWOOD, STATE oF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, providing partial funding of this City's Nutr%tion Services Program under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emer- gency measure for ~he reasons stated in the preamble hereof and pro- vided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council; it shall take effect and be in force imr~ediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. !
