RESOLUTION NO.: 5164 <br /> <br />BY: Messrs. Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Sinasra,Usher <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Works <br />to readvertise for bids for the construction of an air structure and <br />appurtenances to enclose Foster Pool for winter use. <br /> WHEREAS, plans and snecifications have been orepared for the <br />aforesaid air structure by the consultants employed by the City, and, <br /> WHEREAS, at the earlier time of advertising, there were not <br />sufficient funds to cover this project, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has now received approval of a Block Grant <br />to partially fund this project, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Lakewood to proceed <br />forthwith with the construction of the aforesaid air structure, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the oublic health and safety, <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore; <br /> 2E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be, and he is hereby <br />authorized to readvertqse for bids for the construction of an air structure <br />and appurtenances to enclose Foster Pool in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications orepared by the consultant employed by the City. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the advertisement for said bids shall orovide <br />for and require that bids for the construction of said air structure and <br />appurtenances for the enclosure of Foster Pool shall be in accordance with <br />specifications prepared by the consultant. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That funds for partial funding of this project are <br /> available through a Block Grant. <br /> <br /> Section 4. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emeraency <br /> measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br /> Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adootion. <br /> <br /> Clerk ~" <br /> <br />/;" --- ~ayor <br /> <br /> <br />
