Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, Sinagra Usher AN E~fl]RGENCY RESOLUTION a;uthoriZ£ug attd directing tile Mayor, on behalf of the .ty of Lakewood, to accept such grant and enter into a contract ,with Cuyahogs County ,ard of Conm~issioners coveriing such grant for the period of Sept 30, 1976 through ~cember, 1976, providing partial f~lnding for the Social Services Program in this City tder Title III of the 1973 Older Americans Act, WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Cormni. ssioners is administrating a program grants from the Pederal Government, under Title III of the ]973 ()]der A~ericaus Act, ~ereby tbzs City may obtain monies to provide supportive social services for persons years of age or older. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need of £inancial assistance in order to lintain the present Social Services Program for Senior Citizens, and WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure proViding for the tuned]ate p~eservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for tlie further ~ason that these funds can be obtained at the present time; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED bY TIlE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the blayor, on bebat[ of the Clty of Lakev~ood, be and lie is ~reby authorized and directed te enter into a contract with the Coyaboga County ~ard of Con~nissioners, providing partial funding of this City's Social Services ~ogram under Title III of the 1973 Older Americans Act, Section 2. That t~is resoluC~on is hereby declared to be an emergency measure ~r the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative 3re of two-thirds of ell members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be-in force r~nediately upon its adopt]om and approval by the Mayor.
