RESOLUTION NO. 5174 BY: Messrs. McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto~ AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizzng and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakswood, to accept such grant and enter i. nto a contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners covering such grant for the period of September 30, 1976 through November, 19'77, providing partial funding for the Nutrition Site Program in this City under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act. WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners is administrating a program of grants from the Federal Government, under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this City may obtain m~nies to provide nutrition secvices for persons 60 years of age or older. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need of financial assistance in order to maintain the present Nutrition Site. WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure pr6viding for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further ~eason that these funds can be obtained at the present time; now, tkerefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~E COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section. 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, providing partial funding of thzs Czty s Nutrzt~on Program under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act. Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons sna[ed in the preamble hereof and rovided it receives, the. afflrmatzve vote of two-thzrds of all members elected to Council, zt shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
