RESOLUTION NO.: 5212 BY: Messrs. Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride AN ~RGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Director of Public Works to advertise for bids and enter into a contract after approval by Council for the construction of 8-inch water main in the following streets: Fry Avenue, approximately t00', under N & W RR. St. Charles Avenue, approximately 2330', from Detroit Avenue to Clifton Blvd. together with connections and necessary appurtenances. WHEREAS, this Council has determined to proceed with the im- provement set forth in the title hereof by contract, and, WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure pro- viding for the immeduate preservation of the public health and safety and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Director of Public Works be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids and enter into a contract, after approval by Council, for the construction of approximately 100' of 8-inch water main in Fry Avenue, under the N & W Railroad tracks, and approximately 2330' of 8-inch water main in St. Charles Avenue from Detroit Avenue to Clifton Blvd., together with connections and necessary appurtenances, in accordance with plans prepared therefore in the office of the Director of Public Works with the lowest and best bidder after advertisement according to law, and only after approval of such contract by the Council of the City of Lakewood. Section 2. This resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediatelyj~pon its adoption and approval by the Mayor. · Clerk ~/ Mayor
