McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Usher, Brockman, Chinnock, Magnotto A RESOLBTION appr'~ov[ng an aSternative method of apportioning the un- divided Local Government Fund of Cuyahoga County for the calendar year 1978 atJd thereafter. WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Budget Commission has beech, following the method of apportionment of the undi¢ided Local Government Fund of ~lieJ County pro- vided in Ohio Revised Code §5747.51; and ~ WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Budget Commission, the Board of County CommissionerS, the Boards of Township Trustees, and the legislative authorities of ~unicipal corporations within the County are desirous of implementing an alternative method of apportioning the Local Government Fund for the year 1978 ~ and thereafter, in order to more equitably distribute the Lo~al Government Fund, and WHEREAS, an alternative method of apportionment, as~set forth in Exhibit "A" attached and as authorized by Ohio Revised Code §5547.53, has b~en proposed for the consideratiOn of this body; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE i~ITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Secltion 1. That this Council hereby finds and determines that the altern.ativ~ method of apportionment of Local Government Funds set forth in Exhibit "A", is Objective and equitable and will exclude the limitations of th'e present statutory formula established by Chapter 5747 of the Ohio Revised Code, and, pursuant to 5747.53 of the Ohio Revised Code, this body hereby adopts and approves the alternative method of apportionment as set forth in Exhibit "A", and the provisions thereof are incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference. Section 2. That this adoption and approval~of the alternate method of apportionment set forth in ~Exhibit "A" shall be operative for funds to be distrib- uted in the year 1978 and thereafter. Such alternate method of apportionment shall remain in full force and effect for each calendar year until revised, amended, or! repealed in the same manner that it has been adopted or approved. In the event* ,. such alternate method of apportiOnment is repealed, this body authorizes khe undivided Local Government Fund of the County to be apportioned, commencing in the calend~ year following repeal, under the apportionment method provided in §5747.52 of the Ohio Revised Code, unless a new method for apportionment of such fund is pro- vided i~~ the action of repeal. S~ction 3. That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to certify a '~ c?py of this Resol~tion~to the Cuyahoga County Budget Commission. Section 4.
