RESOLUTION NO. 5249 BY Messrs. Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, Sinagra, Brockman AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept such grant and enter into a contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners covering such grant for the period of October 1, 1977 through September 30, 1978, providing partial funding for the Nutrition Site Program~in this City under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act. WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners is administrating a program of grants from the Federal Government, under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this G~ty may obtain monies to provide nutrition services for persons 60 years of age or older. WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in need of financial assistance in order to maintain the present Nutrition Site. WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an amergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that these funds can be obtained at the present time; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf ot the City of Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a Contract with the Cuyahoga'County Board of Commissioners, providing partial funding of this City's Nutrition Program under Title VII of the 1973 Older Americans Act, October 1,'1977 - September 30, 1978. Section 2. That this resolution~is hereby declared to be an amergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives the affirmative vote of too-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor.~j~~..~ Approved :~ ~ Mayor
