RESOLUTION NO. 5253 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Brockman, ~hinnock, Salmon, <br />Sinagra, Usher <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission <br />and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br /> <br />WHEREAS,~ this Councillin accordance with the provisions of law has previously <br />adopted a tax budget for the next ucceedzng fiscal year commencing January 1, <br />1978, and <br /> <br />~{EREAS, the Bud'get Co~nission of Cuyahoga County,State of Ohio, 'has certified <br />its action thereon tolithis Council together with an estimate by the County Auditor <br />of the rate of each t!ax necessary to be levied by this Council, and what part <br />thereof is without, and what part is within, the 10 mill tax limitation; <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE iCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the amounts and rates, as determined by the Budget Commission <br />in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Cl~erk of this Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />certify a copy of this iresolution to the County Auditor of said County. <br /> <br />Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediiate preservation of public health, safety and welfare <br />and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to adept and <br />certify to the County Auditor the City's acceptance of the levies of taxes <br />to be made on the 1977 duplicate for collection in 1978 in order to comply <br />with the statutes of the State and to provide sources of revenue for municipal <br />operation during 1978, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adOPtion and approval by the~yor. <br /> <br />Adopted:~ ' '~/~ Z7 <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
