RESOLUTION NO. 5285 BY: <br /> <br />Messrs. Chinnock, Magnotto, <br />McBride, Salmon, Usher, <br />Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to coranend Raymond O. Meyers for his public service as <br />Director of Public Works and City II~gineer of the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Raymond O. Meyers was appointed to the position of Director <br />of Public Works and City Engineer for the City of Lakewood effective April 9, <br />1973, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Meyers ably and with distinction served this eem~nity <br />as a member of the Planning Co~nission and the Board of Revision of Asses~nents <br />and at all times enthusiastically displayed a desire to render outstanding <br />service to his cormmmity, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the City, Mr. Meyers administered <br />approximately tan million dollars of public works contracts for the City and <br />the Department of Public Works, under his direction, achieved an enviable <br />record of performance and service, and <br /> <br /> ]~EAS, Mr. Meyers has won the respect and affection of his <br />colleagues, as evidenced by his service as a trustee of the North Eastern <br />Ohio Service Directors Association and his appointment to the Steering <br />Coranittee for the Solid Waste Progr~mPlan Development initiated by the <br />CuyahogaCoonty Commissioners, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Raymond O. Meyers has resigned his position with the City <br />of Lakewood effective March 3, 1978 to accept appointment as Chief Engineer <br />for the Office of the Cuyahoga Colmty Engineer; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE~¥OOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Mr. Raymond O. Meyers its <br />appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this corm~nity, for his nearly <br />five years of distinguished public service to the City of Lakewood and further, <br />that this Council wishes him continued success in his new endeavor. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Mr. Raymond O. Meyers, <br />4438 Bradley Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145, and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
