RESOLIYI'ION NO. 5334 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, Wendlin§, Brockman AN E~,~G,ENC5z PJ,;~cOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, on behalf o~ the City of l~k~v~d, to accept such grant and enter into a ~ntract with ~yahoga Connty ~ard of C~missioners covering s~ch grant for the permod of Sept~ber 30, 1978 througl~ December 31, 1978 providing p~tial f~ding fer the Nutrition Progr~s in the City ~der Title VII of the 1973 Older ~erieans Act. lX~IEt~EAS, the Cuyahoga (k')unty Px)ard of Coranissioners is administering a prograph of grants from the Federnl (~verm~ent, m~der Title VII of the 1973 Older ~ricans Act, whereby ttus City may obtain n~nies to provide Nutrition. Progr~s~ for,persons 60 years of r~e or older, ~d %~E~RFAS, the City of Lakeweod is in need of financial assistance in order to maintain the present Nutrition Progr~ for Senior Citizens, ~d ~ ~'~FAS, this resolution constitutes an c~nergency measure providing for the ir~nediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the fm'ther reason that these funds can be obtained at the present time; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY ~]fE COUNCIl, OF ~ CITY OF IAKEIVOOD, grATE OF OHIO: Section 1. 'Dmt the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewcx)d, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with the O~:yahoga County tk~ard of Co, missioners, providing partial funding of the City's Nutrition Programs under Title VII of the 1973 Older ~merlcans Act.
