RESOLUTION NO. 5359 BY: <br /> <br />McBride, Salmon, <br />Brockman, BrOwn, <br />Magnotto <br /> <br />Wendling, <br />Chinnock, <br /> <br /> AN ~/~ERGSNCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor of the City of <br />Lakewood to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of <br />various insurance coverages for the protection of the City of Lakewood <br />effective Febzllary t, ~97~ for a period not to exceed three (3) years. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an era~rgency measure <br />in that it provides for the iranediate preservation of the public safety <br />and welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; <br />now, therefOre, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUSK~IL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWC~D, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Lakew~ be and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of various insurance coverages for the protection of <br />the City of Lakewood, including coverages on buildings and contents, <br />movable, unlicensed equipment, autc~obile physical damage including <br />garage keepers legal liability, cor~prehensive liability and automobile <br />liability, to be effective for a period not to exceed three (3) years, <br />with the lowest and best bidder or bidders, after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2; That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thmrds of all m~mbers <br />elected to Council, i% shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon i~s adoption and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br /> <br />
