RESOLUTION NO. 5367 BY: <br /> <br />Chinnock, ~agnotto, ~cBride <br />Wendling, Brockman, Brown <br />Salmon <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the concern of the Council of the City of <br />Lakewood relating to the conversion of the Carlyle Apartment to condominit~ <br />LIse. <br /> <br /> WHEI~S, Carlyle Lake; Inc. a subsidiary of 2merican Invesco Co~)oration <br />is the owner of the Carlyle Apartment and is in the process of converting the <br />same to a condominiam, and <br /> <br /> WI~EAS, residents of the Carlyle Apartment have expressed concern <br />that they are not fully informed as to the details of the conversion and are <br />being requested to make an immediate decision as to purchase withmlt said <br />information, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council shares the concern of the residents of the <br />Carlyle Apartment and is of the opinion that they are entitled to be fully <br />in£onned before making such decision; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CY~fNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAK~¥OOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section I. This Council deems it to be in the public interest and <br />doesherebyrequest Carlyle Lake, Inc. to provide full disclosure to all <br />residents of the Carlyle Apartment consistent with the new condominitm] law <br />of the State of Ohio. <br /> <br /> Section 2. This Council strenuouslv urges Carlvle Lake Inc, to <br />extend the time, and the purchase discounts related thereto, to ~4arch 31, 19/~9 by <br />which the residentsmust determine whether or not to purchase their individual <br />units so that each present occupant will have sufficient, reasonable ti,~ <br />to make an infor~ed decision. <br /> <br /> Section 3 That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forWard a certified copy of this Resolution to the Chief <br />Executive Officers of ~erican Invesco Corporation and Cayl~le Lake Inc. / <br /> <br /> 15re~'ident // <br /> <br /> <br />
