RESOLUTI~ON'NO. 5381 <br /> <br />BY: Magnotto, McBride, Salmon, <br /> Wendling, Brown, Chinnock <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the Lakewood High SchOol girls gymnastics <br />:eam for their outstand ng athletic achievement during the 1979 gymnastic <br />.eason. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood High School girls gymnastics team, for <br />the first time in its history, won the Ohio High School Ath.letic Association <br />~tate team gymnastiics title, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the girls gymnastics team had a 14-0 record this year <br />Winning every comp;etitlon they entered, including invitationals, sectionals, <br />~istrict and state! meets, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, gymnastics was the first sport for girls that in 1973 <br />~stablished a State meet, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since the inception of the girls gymnastics team, they <br />~ave been all aroulnd winners every year, only once plac!ing second, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this is the first team title to come to Lakewood High <br />~chool in all spor~ts since 1968; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT REiSOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section l. That Lakewood City Councll extends its congratulations <br />Hnd commends the L~kewood High School girls gymnastics team for its out- <br />~tanding athletic achievement during the 1979 season. <br /> <br /> Section 12. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />~nd direct, ed to foirward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Lakewood <br />High School girls gymnastics team, in care of Miss Sue E.
