RESOLUTION NO. 5391 <br /> <br />BY:: Chinnock, McBride, Salmon, <br /> Wendling, Brockman, Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Mark R. Magnlotto for his public~ <br />service as a Councilman of the City of Lakewoold. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mark R. Magnotto was electeld to %he office <br />of Councilman of Ward 3 in the City of Lakewoold for the term com- <br />mencing January 1, 1972 and served continuousl~ in that capacity <br />until his resignation effective April 2, 1979,, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Magnotto most ably and With unique <br />distinction served this Council and the communlity as President <br />of this Council for the year 1978 in addition ~o having previously <br />served as Chairman of Finance, Hospital, Rulesl and Ordinances, <br />Planning & Zoning, Traffic & Safety and Lake Erosion Committees, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to his election to CoUncil, Mark R. Magnotto <br />was, in March, 1969, appointed Assistant Prosecutor of the City of <br />Lakewood, and served the City ably in that capacity for two years <br />until 1971 when he ran for Council, taking hislseat in January, <br />1972, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his 7-year tenure aslCouncilman, <br />Mr. Magnotto was recognized as a conscientious~ effective and <br />respected legislator, working diligently and extensively for the <br />promotion, progress and betterment of the City,of Lakewood and its <br />residents, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper <br />public service rendered by Mark R. Magnotto <br />nizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />that such outstanding <br />be~given public cog- <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THEiCITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Mark R. Magnotto <br />its appreciation and that of all the citizens Of the community for <br />his seven years of distinguished public service as a Councilman <br />of the City of Lakewood and further that this Council wishes him <br />clontinued years of success, health and prosperity. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Councili be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution <br />t~o Mr. Mark R.
