RESOLUTZON NO. 5412 <br /> <br />BY: Brockmanl, Brown, Chinnock, McNally, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> <br /> ANEMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as E~-Officio <br />Director of Public Works to enter into a contract for t~e purchase of <br />approximately six thousand tons of sodium chloride (roc~ salt) for ~ <br />period of one year commeneing September 1, 1979 after advertising according <br />to.iaw, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to provide safety fo~ vehicular a~d pedestrian <br />traffic druing the winter months; it~is necessary to p~rlchase salt ~nd, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency n%easure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare, <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWODD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor as Ex-Officio Director of Public Works <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter intD a contract for the <br />purchase of approximately six thousand tons of sodium chloride (rock <br />salt) for the period commencing September 1, 1979 and ending August 31, 1980, <br />after advertising according to law, <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared ~o be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council. <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval <br /> <br />by the Mayor. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br /> <br />
