RESOLUTION NO. 5415 BY: <br /> <br />McNally, Salmon, Wendling, <br />BrOckman, Brown, Chinnock, <br />McBride <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing anld directing the <br />Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewoo~ to makel application for <br />financial assistance under Title IV of the Compnehensive Employment <br />and Training Act of 1973, as amended, and to exelcute a contract with <br />the Cuyahoga-Parma-Geauga Employment and Traininlg Consortium for <br />participation in a program under the Emergency Jlobs and Unemployment <br />Assistance Act of 1974. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been~ determined by the <br />United States Department of Labor to be an eligiible program agent <br />under Title IV Emergency Job Program, Comprehenslive Employment and <br />Training Act, as amended, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga-Parma-Geauga Emplloyment <br />Consortium has received frunds for the City of Llakewood <br />the City in the Emergency Job Program, and <br /> <br />and Training <br />for use by <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is in <br />assistance in order to aid in the alleviation <br />unemployed within the City, and <br /> <br />neled of financial <br />ofl the problems of the <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes aln emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of the Ipublic health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that thesle funds must be <br />applied for at the earliest possible time; now, 'therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CIITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf ~f the City of <br />Lakewood, be and he is authorized and directed tD make application <br />for funds under Title IV Emergency Job Program, Bomprehensive <br />Employment and Training'Act, as amended. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Mayor, on behalf Of the City of <br />Lakewood, be and he is authorized and directed tD execute a contract <br />with the Cuyahoga-Parma-Geauga Employment and Training Consortium <br />for participation in the Emergency Job Program u~der the Emergency <br />Jobs and Unemployment Assistance Act of 1974. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
