RESOLUTION NO. 5422 <br /> <br />By: Brockman, Bbown, ChinnOck, McBride, <br /> McNally, SaNmon, Wendling <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor of the!City of Lakewood <br />to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of various <br />insurance coverages for the protection of the City of Lakewood effective <br />February l, 1980 for a period not to exceed three (31 years, after <br />adVertisement according to law and subject to approval of Council, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br />provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal departments; now <br />therefore, ' <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Lakewood b~ and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a contract or dontracts for the <br />purchase of various insurance coverages for the protection of the City <br />of Lakewood, including coverages on buildings and conltents, movable, <br />unlicensed equipment, automobile physical damage inclluding garage keepers <br />legal liability, comprehensive liability, automobile liability, police <br />professional liability and public officials liability, to be effective <br />for a period not to exceed three (3) years, with the lowest and best <br />bidder or bidders, after advertisement according to llaw, subject to <br />approval by Council. <br /> <br />Section 2. That this resolution is hereby~declared tb be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons Stated in the preamble hereofl and provided it <br />receives the affin~ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it Shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
