RESOLUTION NO. 5423 BY: Brown, Chinnock, McBride, McNally, Salmon, Wendling, Brockman A RESOLUTION accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies an~ certifying them to the County Auditor, and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, this Council in accordance with the provisions of law has previously adopted a tax budget for the next succeeding fiscal year commencing January 1 1980, and , WHEREAS, the Budget Commission of Cuyahoga County, State of Ohio, has certified its action thereon to this Council together with an estimate by the County Auditor of the rate of each tax necessary to be levied Iby this Council, and what part thereof is without, and what part is within, 'the 10 mill tax limita- tion; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the amounts and rates, as determined b~ the Budget Commission in its certification, be and the same are hereby accepted. Section 2. That the Clerk of this Council be and she islhereby directed to certify a copy of this resolution to the County Auditor Df said County. Section 4. That this resolution is hereby declared to b~ an emergency measure providing for the immediate preservation of public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is im~mediately necessary to adopt and certify to the County Auditor the City's acceptance of the levies of taxes to be made on the 1979 duplicate for ~ollection in 1980 Nn order to comply with the statues of the State and to provide sources of revenue for municipal operation during 1980, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall t~ke effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by ~/ayor.
