RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />5438 BY: <br /> <br />Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br />Salmon, Wendling, Brown, <br />Chinnock <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Stanley D. Cook for his public service as <br />Buidling Commissioner of the City Of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Stanley D. Cook a native of Vermont and a carpenter by trade, <br />was employed by the City as a Building Inspector in 1964, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Cook was elevated to the position of Bualding Commissioner <br />of the City of Lakewood in 1970 and served in that capacity until his retirement, <br />effective December 21, 1979, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure as Building Commissioner, Mr. Cook played <br />an integral part in overseeing significant building construction projects, both <br />public and private, including Winterhurst Ice Rink, the Lakewood Office on Aging <br />and Lak'ewood Center North, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under his leadership and direction the Building Department of <br />the City of Lakewood has achieved an enviable record of performance and servace, <br />and through his warmth and genuine anterest, Mr~ Cook has won the respect and <br />affection of his colleagues and all those who came in contact with him, and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by <br />Mr. Cook be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT Pd~SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Sectaon 1. That thms Coanczl extends to Stanley D. Cook <br />appreciatlon and that of all of the cmtmzens of this community for his more <br />than fifteen years of distmnguished public servmce to the City of Lakewood and <br />further that thas Co~cal wzshes ham continued years of health, happaness and <br />prospermty an his retarement. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Co~cil be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to Mr. Stanley D. Cook, <br />536 Bayfair Drive, Bay Village, Ohio 44140 and that a copy of this resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meetzng. <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
