P~ESOLUr I C~ NO. 5453 <br /> <br />BY: Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling, <br /> Brown, Chinnock <br /> <br /> AN E~I~GENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Public Safety <br />to advertise for bids for the purchase of up to five (5) new rr~tor vehicles <br />and two (2) used motor vehicles for the Department of Public Safety. <br /> <br /> WHEEEAS, this resolution Constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />£or the in~ediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and for the <br />usual daily operation o£ a municipal department; now, ~herefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COI~CIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to advertise for bid~s for the purchase of up to <br />five (5) new and two (2) used Police Department vehicles and for the sale or <br />trade-in of Police Department vehicles and to enter in~o a Contract or Contracts <br />with the lowest and best bidders after approval by Council. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the 'reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it receives <br />the affinmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force imTediately upon its adoptibn and approval by the <br />Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect at the earliest pDriod allowed by law. <br /> <br />Presi~ <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
