RESOLUTION NO. 5457 <br /> <br />BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Wendling, Brown <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION in memory of the late Judith DePauw, nurse <br />technician at Lakewood Hospital. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Judith DePauw was born in Lakewood, attended <br />Lakewood Schools and graduated from Lakewood High School in 1974, <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, since January 1975, Judith DePauw, a student at <br />the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve <br />University, brought comfort and kindness to others, first as a <br />dedicated patient care assistant and more recently as a nurse <br />technician at Lakewood Hospital, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on Friday, February 15, 1980~ Judith DePauw came <br />upon the scene of an automobile accident on Bro0kpark Road in <br />Cleveland~ Ohio and without regard for her own Safety and welfare, <br />immediately and without hesitation left her own automobile to give <br />aid and comfort to the victims of said accident,~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, while so administering to the injured, the short <br />life of Judith DePauw was tragically ended as a result of injuries <br />suffered after being struck by two passing moto= vehicles, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Judith DePauw exemplified thel highest standard of <br />dedication and devotion of the nursing professioln and this Council <br />wishes to honor her memory and to extend condolences to her family; <br />now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE ClITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Lakewood City Council honors the <br />memory of Judith DePauw and extends deepest sympsthy to her parents, <br />Howard and Joan DePauw, and to her Brothers Michael and David and <br />Sister Jean on the loss of their beloved daughter and sister. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward certified copies of this resolution <br />to the family of Judith DePauw and that a copy of this resolution <br />be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
