PJ~SOLUTION NO. 5458 BY: BroWn,Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Wendling <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizlng~the Director of Public Works <br />to enter into a requirement contract or contracts for the purchase of materials <br />for use in street repair and on other City-owned properties, for a period <br />of one year commencing April 1, 1980. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure providing <br />for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety and welfare <br />and for the usual daily operation of a municipal department, now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Director of Public Workslbe and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to enter into a requirement contract or contracts <br />for the purchase of materials for use in street repair and on other Cityrowned <br />properties for a period of one year commencing April 1, 1980, in accordance <br />with the list of such materlals on file in the office of the Director of <br />Public Works, with the lowest and best bidder or bidders after advertisement <br />according to law. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof a~d provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval <br />by the Mayor. ~ <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
