RESOLUTION NO. 5472 ~Y:Wendling: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, -Graham, Salmon, McBride A RESOLUTION supporting the passage a~ the June 3, 1980 primary election of Issue No. 6 relating to t~e renewal of the Cuyahoga Community College 0.6 mill levy~ WHEREAS, on the June 3, 1980 primary ellection ballot, the renewal of the Cuyahoga Community College ,0.6 mill levy for continuing educational services will appear asl Issue No. 6, and WHEREAS, statistics show that one out Df every six CUyahoga County residents has attended Cuyahoga Communilty College since its opening in 1963, and WHEREAS, if this fine institution of l~arning and service is to continue to be a viable factor and influence in the educational training and development of such al substanial number of residents of this county, the passage of th~ aforementioned renewal levy is essential, and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council of the City of Lakewood desire to express to the citizens of Lakewood,. Ohio and to all the people of Cuyahoga County their deep concern for the continuation of the excellent educatIonal services offered ko the people of this area by Cuyahoga Community College; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHI0: Section 1 . That the Mayor and the council of the City of Lakewood strongly urge the citizens of Lakewood, Ohio, and all voters residing in Cuyahoga County to support ~he passage of the Cuyahoga Community College 0.6 mill levy which appears as Issue No~ 6 on the June 6, 1980 primary election ballot. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council We and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward certified c~pies of this resolution to the Sun Newspapers, 5510 Cloverleaf Parkway, Cleveland, Ohio 44125 and to such other news media and persons as the Mayor or members of this Council may request.
