RESOLUTION NO. 5479 BY: <br /> <br />Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br />Salmon, Wendling, Brown, <br />Chinnock <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to provide the assurance of the!City of Lakewood in <br />establishing the goal for the City in accordance with ~he guidelines set by <br />the United States Environmental Protection Agency RegiOn V for Minority <br />Business Enterprise (MBE) participation. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Pro~ection Agency Region <br />V has established the goal for MBE participation for the Region at 10% to <br />15%, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City to establish said <br />goal to conform with the Environmental Protection AgenQy requirements; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY O?'LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Council of the City of ~akewood determines that <br />the establishment of the goal for the City in accordance with the guideli~nes <br />set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency Region V for Minority <br />Business Enterprise (MBE) is in the best interests of ~he City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That this Council hereby establislhes the goal for the <br />City of Lakewood for MBE participation to be 10% to 15%1 in accordance with <br />the guidelines set by the United States Environmental Plrotection Agency Region <br />V. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this Council hereby authorizes the Director of Law <br />to implement and carry out such guidelines for MBE participation in order to <br />conform with the Environmental Protection Agency requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 4. It is found and determined that a~l formal actions of <br />this Council concerning and relating to the passage of ~his ordinance were <br />adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations <br />of this Council and of any of its committees that resulied in such formal <br />action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal <br />requirements including Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br /> <br /> Section 5. That this resolution shall take effect and be in force <br />upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor and at the earliest period allowed <br />by law. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved:~/ <br /> <br /> <br />
