<br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the Kiwanis Club of LakeWood, Ohio,
<br />Incorporated for its cooperation and assistance in the construction of the
<br />picnic pavilion in Lakewood Park and expressing the appreciation of the citizens
<br />of the City.
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, on the 29th day of June, 1971, the Kiwanis Club of Lak~wood,
<br />Ohio, Incorporated entered into an Agreement with the CityI wherein the Lakewood
<br />Kiwanis Club, in joint cooperation with the City in the c~nstruction of a picnic
<br />pavilion in Lakewood Park, agreed to pay $18,000.00 of th~ gross construction
<br />costs over a ten-year period, which monetary commitment was paid to the City
<br />in full and as agreed on August 12, 1980, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, said picnic pavilion, now known as the iKiwanis Pavilion,
<br />is truly a most valued addition to the Park being used and enjoyed by literally
<br />thousands of residents of Lakewood and the surrounding communities each year,
<br />and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this lovely Kiwanis Pavilion will forever stand as a monument
<br />in recognition of the civic involvement of the Lakewood Kiwanis Club in the
<br />continued development and progess of the community and its concern for the
<br />welfare of its people, and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, this Council wishes to commend the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood,
<br />Ohio, Incorporated for a job well done in fulfilling its Commitment in the
<br />construction of the picnic pavilion in Lakewood Park and,,on behalf of all of
<br />the citizens of this community, to express its appreciation; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />OHIO:

<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF
<br />
<br /> Section 1. That this Council commends the Kiwanis Club of Lakewood,
<br />Ohio, Incorporated for its cooperation and assistance in the construction of
<br />the picnic pavilion in Lakewood Park, now officially known as the Kiwanis
<br />Pavilion, and on behalf of all of the citizens of this co~nnunity, extends
<br />to the Lakewood Kiwanis Club its most sincere appreciation and heartfelt
<br />thanks.
<br />
<br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and sh~ is hereby authorized
<br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this resolutibn to Mr. Del Campbell,
<br />President, Kiwanis Club of Lakewood, Ohio, Incorporated, ,16900 Detroit Avenue,
<br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107 and that a copy of this resolution b~ spread upon the
<br />
<br />minutes of this meeting.
