RESOLUTION NO. 5493 <br /> <br />BY:G~aham, McBride, Salmon, Wendlin~ <br /> BYown, Chinnock, Gailagher <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Fred M. DeGrandis for his service to <br />the City as Administrative Assistant to two Mayors and as a member of the <br />Law Department of the City. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Fred M. DeGrandis was appointed Administrative Assistant <br />to Mayor Robert M. Lawther on June 16, 1975 and served in that capacity <br />until January 7, 1977 when he left the City to take the position of <br />Bailiff to then newly elected Judge Lawther, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on January 3, 1978 Mr. DeGrandis r~turned to service <br />with the City, first as an associate in the Departmen~ of Law where on <br />March 25, 1979 he was elevated to the position of City Prosecutor and <br />in December of that year appointed Executive Assistan~ to Mayor Anthony C. <br />Sinagra, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ at all times during his tenure with the City, <br />Mr. DeGrandi$ demonstrated a unique knowledge and keen understanding <br />of municipal government and by his ready acceptance o~ responsibility <br />and efficiency of performance rendered invaluable senvice to the <br />Administration and this Council, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, through a genuine interest, untirilng effort and personal <br />enthusiasm he has won the respec~ and affection of hils fellow City employees <br />and all those who came in contact with him, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, effective October 3, 1980 Mr. DeGnandis has resigned <br />from the City Administration to accept the position o:f Assistant <br />Administrator of Lakewood Hospital; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council extends to Mn. Fred M. DeGrandis <br />its appreciation and that of all the citizens of this! community for his <br />distinguished public service to the City of Lakewood,~ its Administration <br />and this Council, and further, that this Council wish!es him continued <br />success in his new endeavor. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be amd she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy ef this Resolution <br />to Mr. Fred M. DeGrandis, #18 Edgewater Square, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 <br />and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br /> <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Approved: <br /> <br /> <br />
