RESOLUTION NO. 5495 BY: <br /> <br />Salmon, Wendling, Brown, <br />Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br />McBride <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayo!r of the City of <br />Lakewood to enter into a contract or contracts for the protection of the <br />City of Lakewood effective February 1, 1981 for a period not to exceed three <br />(3) years, after advertisement according to law and subject to approval of <br />Council. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure in <br />that it provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and <br />welfare and for the usual daily operation of municipal department; now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF! LAKEWOOD, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor of the City of Lakewood be and he is <br />hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts for the <br />purchase of various insurance coverages for the protection of the City of <br />Lakewood, including coverages on moveable, unlicensed equipment, comprehen- <br />sive liability, automobile liability, police professional liability, public <br />officials liability, property and multi-peril and boiler insurance, to be <br />effective for a period not to exceed three (3) years, with the lowest and <br />best bidders, after advertisement according to law subject to approval by <br />Council. <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thlrds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption <br /> <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />^dopt d: <br /> <br />P res ~ den t <br /> <br /> <br />
