RESOLUTION NO. 5496 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, <br /> 'Wendling <br /> AN' EMERGENCY RESOL~TZON authorizing and directing the Mayor, <br />on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept such gran~ and enter into a <br />contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners covering Social Services, <br />such grant providing partial funding for supplemental funds under Title III-B <br />of the 1973 Older Americans Act. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga Ceunty Board of Commissibners is <br />administering a program of grants from the Federal Government, under <br />Title III-B of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this City may obtain <br />monies to provide Programs for persons 60 years of agelor older, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, The City of Lakewood is in need of fihancial assistance <br />~n order to maintain the present Programs for Senior C~tizens, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br />providing for the immediate preservation of public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that these fund~ can be obtained <br />at the present t~me; now, therefore, <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF L~KEWOOD, STATE <br />OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1, That the Mayor, on behalf of the C~ty of Lakewood, <br />be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter ihto a contract <br />w~th the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, providing partial <br />funding of the City's Program under Title III-B of thel 1973 Older Americans <br />Act. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
