<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 5671 BY: Brown, Ghinnock, Graham, McBride, <br /> Salmon,. Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor ex-officio Director of <br /> Public Safety to enter into a contract or contracts for the purchase of eight <br /> motor vehicles for the Department of Public Safety. <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution constitutes an emergency measure in that it <br /> provides for the immediate preservation of the public safety and welfare and <br /> for the usual daily operation of a municipal department.;. now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the. Mayor ex-officio Director of Public Safety 6e <br /> and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract or contracts <br /> for the purchase of eight Police Department vehicles and for the stale or <br /> trade-in of Police Department vehicles, with the lowest and best bidder or <br /> bidders after advertisement according to law. <br /> Section 2. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an <br /> emergency measure for the reasons stated in the preamble hereof and provided it <br /> receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br /> it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval <br /> by the Mayor; otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the <br /> earliest period allowed by law. <br /> Adopted: a / ~d ~ <br /> ~/j/ jPAESIIlEN <br /> ~~;~~r.~JL~~ <br /> Approved: y.~.,s~ <br /> <br />
