<br /> RESOLUTION No. 5710 By~ Brown Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION to certify costs incurred by the City <br /> of Lakewood, Ohio, in repairing a structure located at 1502 Orchard Grove <br /> <br /> Avenue, to the County Auditor to be placed on the tax duplicate. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1305.521 of the Housing Code of <br /> the Codified Ordinances of the City of Lakewood, the Council of the City on <br /> March 16, 1981, adopted Resolution No. 5542 confirming the determination of <br /> the Board of Building Standards of the City that a structure located at 1502 <br /> Orchard Grove Avenue in the City was unsafe; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Department of the City sent the proper <br /> notice to repair to the owners of the structure, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart E. <br /> Singer (the "Owners") on October 30, 1980; the Board of Building Standards <br /> sent the Owners the Board's Order to Repair of February 9, 1981; and the Clerk <br /> of this Council sent the Owners a certified copy of Resolution No. 5542; and <br /> WHEREAS, upon the Owners failing to make such repairs, the City <br /> did cause such repairs to be made in the reasonable and necessary amount of <br /> $29,140.45; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owners. were properly notified of the cost of repair <br /> being $29,140.45 and failed to tender such amount to the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Resolution is an emergency measure which is neces- <br /> sary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety <br /> and welfare in the City and for the further reason that the lien herein <br /> provided for must be promptly filed in order to secure the City's rights in <br /> the event that additional lienholders come forward. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lakewood, Cuyahoga <br /> County, Ohio: <br /> <br />
