~ ` ~I <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 5728 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling: <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend the employees of Lakewood Hospital for their <br /> dedicated efforts to control health care costs. <br /> WHEREAS, on December 14, 1982, Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio presented <br /> to Lakewood Hospital a Cost Incentive Award which recognized Lakewood Hospital's <br /> cost containment efforts, and <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood Hospital was one of two hospitals presented such an <br /> award in the 400 bed or more category of hospitals in an eleven county area, and <br /> WHEREAS, Lakewood Hospital's cost saving measures reduced health costs <br /> for Lakewood Hospital Blue Cross subscribers by $225,000 and for all Lakewood <br /> Hospital patients by $750,000, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council wishes to express its appreciation to all <br /> Hospital employees for the part they played in bringing such distinguished honor <br /> to Lakewood Hospital and City of Lakewood; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That Lakewood City Council extends its congratulations to <br /> Lakewood Hospital and commends each and every one of its employees for his or <br /> her individual dedicated effo~t in controlling health care costs. <br /> Section 2.
