RESOLUTION N0. 5760-83 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling A RESOLUTION to commend James W. Miller, Jr. for his community service as President of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce. WHEREAS, having joined the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce in 1976, James W. Miller, Jr. was installed as the Chamber's 66th President on May 21, 1982, and WHEREAS, prior to his election as President, Mr. Miller served the Chamber as Budget Committee Chairman and Program Chairman, was four years a member of the Lakewood Days Committee, and four years the General Chairman of the Lakewood Home Show, and WHEREAS, Mr. Miller has so freely and willingly given of his time, talents and energies not only on behalf of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, but to the community at large as evidenced by his service as Chairman of the Lakewood Clean Community System Board, and WHEREAS, for business and professional reasons, Mr. Miller is relocat- ing to Parsippany, New Jersey, and it is fitting and proper that the dedicated community service rendered by Mr. Miller be given public cognizance and recogni- tion; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood extends to James W. Miller, Jr. its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his devoted community service as President of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and further that this Council wishes him continued years of good health, happiness and prosperity in his new surroundings. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to James W.
