RESOLUTION No. 57b5-83 BY: Brown., Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, <br /> on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept such grant and enter <br /> into a contract with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners cover- <br /> ing Social Services and Transportation, such grant providing partial <br /> funding for supplemental funds under Title III-B of the 1973 Older <br /> Americans Act. <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners is ad- <br /> ministering a program of grants from the Federal Government, under <br /> Title III-B of the 1973 Older Americans Act, whereby this City may <br /> obtain monies to provide Programs for persons 60 years of age or <br /> older, and <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure- pro- <br /> viding for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br /> and welfare and for the further reason that these funds can be ob- <br /> twined at the present time; now, therefore. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section I. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, <br /> <br /> 4_ be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into x contract <br /> with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, providing partial <br /> .funding of the City's Program under Title III-B of the 1973 Older <br /> Americans Act. <br /> Section 2.
