RESOLUTION N0. 5843-84 BYr Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wen filing <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br /> <br /> Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, to accept such <br /> grant and enter into a contract with Cuyahoga Gounty Board of <br /> Commissioners covering Social Services and Transportation, <br /> such. grant providing partial funding for supplemental funds <br /> under Tiele III-B of the 1973 Older Americans Act. <br /> WHEREAS, the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners <br /> is administering a prograre of grants from the Federal <br /> Government, under Title I.II-B of the 1973 Older Americans <br /> Act, whereby this City may obtain monies to provide <br /> Programs for persons 60 years of age or older and,. <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes ah emergency <br /> measure providing for the irnmediate preservation of the <br /> gublic health, safety and welfare and for the further <br /> reason that these funds can be obtained at the present <br /> time; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE. CITY OF LAKEWOOD, <br /> STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section I. That the yiayar, on behalf of the City of <br /> Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> enter into a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board if <br /> Commissioners, providing parr,ial funding of the Gity's <br /> Program. under Title III-B of the 1973 Older Americans Act. <br /> Section 2.
