_ _ _ <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION N0.6007-85 BY: Gallagher, Graham, McBride, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor, for <br /> and on behalf of the City of Lakewood #o accept a $47,660 grant to the <br /> City from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter <br /> Control and to administer and budget litter control funds. <br /> WHEREAS, litter is unsightly, unsanitary and creates blighting <br /> conditions, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood City Council recognizes the existence of a <br /> litter problem within the boundries of the City of Lakewood and the <br /> need to address the programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, this resolution constitutes an emergency measure <br /> providing for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br /> and welfare and for the further .reason that the funds are available. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be <br /> and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement <br /> with and to budget and administer all grants received from the Ohio <br /> Department of Natural Resources, Office of Litter Contro{ allocated <br /> from the Litter Control Act of 1980. <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of <br /> this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution <br /> were adopted i n an open meeting of th i s Counc i 1 , and that a I I such <br /> deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted <br /> in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in <br /> compliance with all legal requirements including Section 121.22 of the <br /> Ohio Revised Code. <br /> Section 3.
