<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6020-86 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, McBride, Salmon, <br /> Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION Ito commend Captain Edward D. Demko for his <br /> years of public service ~s a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, Edwa d D. Demko was appointed to the Division of <br /> Fire, Department of Pub is Safety on September 1, 1952, was promoted <br /> to the rank of Captain o March 17, 1974, and served as Fire Marshall <br /> from March 17, 1974 to M y 13, 1979, and <br /> WHEREAS, dur'ng his tenure with the Lakewood Fire <br /> Department, Captain D mko was recognized as a loyal and dedicate <br /> Firefighter who rende ed outstanding service not only to the <br /> Department of Public Saf ty, but to the entire community as well, and <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement January 17, 1986, Captain <br /> Demko completed thirty-t ree years, four and one-half months of public <br /> service as a member of the Division of Fire, Department of Public <br /> Safety, and i <br /> WHEREAS, such edication to duty and years of public service <br /> should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> BE TT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OE OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood extends <br /> to Captain Edward D. emko its appreciation and that of all of the <br /> citizens of this community for his more than thirty-three years of <br /> public service as a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood, and further <br /> that this Council wishes im continued years of health, happiness and <br /> prosperity in his retixem nt. <br /> Section 2. T at the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed t forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br /> to Captain Edward D.
