<br /> RESOLUTION N0. 6024-86 gy; Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> McBride, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION su porting House Bill No. 190 objecting to the <br /> issuing of C-1 and C-2 eer and Wine Carry-out permits to gasoline <br /> stations. <br /> WHEREAS, in rece t years, numerous gasoline stations have been <br /> issued C-1 and C-2 permits for beer and wine carry-outs; and <br /> WHEREAS, there as been a nationwide campaign conducted to <br /> discourage driving while nder the influence of alcoholic beverages in <br /> order to prevent the num rous needless deaths and injuries caused by <br /> drunken drivers and, there ore, gasoline stations should not participate in <br /> encouraging individuals to purchase alcoholic beverages; and <br /> WHEREAS, most ga olive stations employ the services of young <br /> people under the age of 18 years who should not be exposed to the possible <br /> sales of alcoholic beverages; and <br /> WHEREAS, House Bi l No 190 would immediately halt further issuing <br /> of permits to gasoline st tions for carry-out beer and wine sales; Now, <br /> Therefore, <br /> I <br /> BE I T RESOLVED BY ~ THE COUNC ( L OF THE C I TY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIO: ~ <br /> Section 1. Thatllthe Council of the City of Lakewood hereby <br /> supports the passage of Ho>~se Bill 190 to prohibit the sale of alcoholic <br /> beverages by gasoline stations. <br /> Section 2.
