<br /> RESOLUTION NO. 6084-86 BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, Graham, <br /> Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION expressing the congratulations of the Council of the <br /> City of Lakewood, Ohio, to Lakewood Patrolman Jan M. Hill, of the Division of <br /> Police, Department of Public Safety. <br /> WHEREAS, because of his notable performance at the Ohio Police <br /> Olympics in June of 1986, Patrolman Hill earned two gold medals in the small <br /> and large-bore rifle competition, and <br /> WHEREAS, because of his performance at the Ohio Police Olympics <br /> Patrolman Hill qualified for the International Police Olympics held in August <br /> of 1986 at Columbus, Ohio; and <br /> WHEREAS, Patrolman Hill continued to demonstrate his outstanding <br /> ability at marksmanship by garnering a gold medal in the Marksman's Class, <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, his contributions enabled his team to earn a gold medal on <br /> the small-bore rifle competition and a bronze medal in the large-bore rifle <br /> competition; and <br /> WHEREAS, through his involvement and proficient performance in <br /> competition and as a participant in this fine organization, Patrolman Jan M. <br /> Hill has brought recognition to himself, the City of Lakewood, as well as the <br /> Lakewood Division of Police, Department of Public Safety, and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires it to be known by the residents of <br /> this City that it supports and recognizes the dedication and hard work it <br /> takes to achieve such an accomplishment; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That this Council for, and on behalf of the residents <br /> of the City of Lakewood, hereby expresses its congratulations and recognition <br /> to Patrolman Jan M. Hill for his excellent performance in both the Ohio and <br /> the International Police Olympics. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Mr. <br /> and Mrs. Jan M.
