RESOLUTION No. 6092-86 BY: Chinnock, Gallagher, 'Graham, McBride, Salmon, Wendling A RESOLUTION extending sincere appreciation to Discount Drug Mart, Inc. for its generous gift to the City for the benefit of the elderly citizens of Lakewood. WHEREAS, on Saturday, September 27, 1986, Discount Drug Mart, Inc. of Medina, Ohio held a Grand Re-opening Celebration at its store located at 15412 Detroit Avenue in the City, and WHEREAS, during its day long event, Discount Drug Mart, Inc. offered free refreshments to its customers, requesting only, as a gesture of the company's support of the efforts of the Lakewood Office on Aging on behalf of the elderly residents of our community, that donations be made to the Office on Aging, and WHEREAS, through the generosity of the patrons of said Discount Drug Mart store, a total of $29G.GG was collected, which monies have been formally turned over to and accepted by the City to be used by the Lakewood Office on Aging, and WHEREAS, this Council wishes to express to Discount Drug Mart, Inc. its sincere appreciation for its thoughtful and generous gift and to thank the company for its expression of concern and support fox the welfare of the elderly citizens of the City; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council extends to Discount Drug Mart, Inc. its sincere appreciation and thanks, and that of all of the citizens of this community, for its most thoughtful and generous gift to the City, to be used for the benefit of the elderly citizens of Lakewood. Section 2. That the Clerlc of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Thomas Haas, Supervisor, Discount Drug Mart, Inc., 211 Commerce Drive, Medina, Ohio, 44256, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
