<br /> RESOLUTION No. 6126-87 BY: Brown, Chinnock, Gallagher, <br /> Graham, Salmon, Wendling <br /> A RESOLUTION to commend Captain James L. Monica for his <br /> <br /> years of public service as a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood. <br /> WHEREAS, James L. Monica was appointed to the Division of <br /> Fire, Department of Public Safety on January 16, 1955, and promoted to <br /> the rank of Captain on February 14, 1965, and <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Lakewood Fire <br /> <br /> Department, Captain Monica was recognized as a loyal and dedicated <br /> employee who rendered outstanding service not only to the Department <br /> of Public Safety, but to the entire community as well, and <br /> WHEREAS, upon his retirement effective February 14, 1987, <br /> Captain Monica completed thirty-two years, one month of public service <br /> as a member of the Division of Fire, Department of Public Safety, and <br /> WHEREAS, such dedication to duty and years of public service <br /> should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE <br /> OF OHIO: <br /> Section 1. That the Council of the City of Lakewood extends <br /> to Captain James L. Monica its appreciation and that of all of the <br /> citizens of this community fox his more than thirty-two years of <br /> public service as a Firefighter of the City of Lakewood, and further <br /> that this Council wishes him continued years of health, happiness and <br /> prosperity in his retirement. <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br /> authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution <br /> to Captain James L.
